Martha Anderson sends along two stories from this week's chicken brouhaha (that would be a good name for a rock band), reminding us of the importance of showing Christ's love to those who disagree with us.
The first article is one Christian's musings on the protester he saw outside his local Chik-fil-A.
The second is by a lesbian who works at Chik-fil-A, who, as you might expect, is feeling pretty conflicted these days.
Both of these would be good people to keep in our prayers.

It would have been very easy for the Chick-fil-A staff to mock the size of the protests or ignore them completely. Instead, they showed genuine Christ-like love and compassion by giving hot meals and cool water to the activists:

This action is even more amazing considering that one Chick-fil-A in California was vandalized by a "gay marriage" activist prior to the protest:

Chick'fil-A showing true love to their enemies is an impressive witness for Christ. It also reminded me of Matthew 5:43-48:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as yourheavenly Father is perfect."
