Responses to Coming Together on Culture PDF print email

. . . despite all the division over Christ and culture in the Christian church today, I perceived that some people in each camp were listening to the critiques and were incrementally making revisions that moved them closer toward the other camps and positions.  I highlighted the Transformationist and Two Kingdoms views, arguing that each model had some imbalances, but that many were recognizing them and incorporating insights from other models.

Living God's Law PDF print email

I am sometimes asked if I am a "Christian reconstructionist" because I put so much emphasis on the Law of God. I'm never quite sure how to answer that, because I can't always discern what people mean when they ask. Those who, over the past generation, have proudly embraced that nomenclature do emphasize the importance of God's Law, and they are eager to see fundamental changes in the state of the Church, of culture, and of society as a whole. More Christians will be persecuted in 2012 than any year in recent memory. The reason is simple. There is a clash of civilizations between the Muslim world and the predominantly Christian West, and Christianity is moving south toward the heart of the Muslim world. . . .  Harvard professor Samuel P. Huntington presciently saw this conflict looming on the horizon, and called it the “clash of civilizations.” Released before 9/11, . . .

Only Two Religions? That Can’t Be True! PDF print email

We all worship. But do we worship the Creator? Or do we worship some aspect of His creation? In our multi-cultural, all-is-one, anything-goes world, the distinction between the Truth and the Lie clearly has to go! The Church must understand the present struggle between the Gospel and the growing, multi-faceted opposition to it in our time.
